Stefan has global responsibility for innovation as well as Amadeus’ portfolio of Strategic Growth Businesses. He is a native German based in Madrid and is a member of the Amadeus Executive Management team. Stefan contributes with deep technology, strategy and business model expertise acquired in senior leadership roles in high growth software businesses spanning from startup to multinationals.
Before joining Amadeus, Stefan led Adobe’s Central Europe region as a Managing Director & General Manager. Between 2004 and 2015, he was a General Manager at Microsoft where he headed Business Units, ran the global Data Platform & Azure Sales and was the COO/CMO of the Central & Eastern Europe region. Before that, he was a McKinsey consultant advising CIOs and CEOs on strategic opportunities in the Business Technology space. Preceding that was a five year stint in the startup world, where Stefan led the Product Management for Brokat Infosystems, a financial transaction platform provider, followed by co-founding his own startup – trivum – geared towards revolutionizing multi-room audio.
Stefan holds a master in mechanical engineering & business administration from the Technical University of Darmstadt as well as an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Stefan speaks German and English.
